St Fillans Festive Saturday

Dear Neighbours and Friends,

There are fun times ahead of us.

This is a reminder and update for all those attending the Village Hug Event this Saturday.

At the moment weather predictions are changing all the time but looks like we might be lucky with some sunshine. Everyone keep your fingers crossed, do your sun salutations and refrain  from performing any rain dances.

Please note that this is a picnic event** so please bring your own food, drinks, blankets, camping chairs, rain cover or whatever you think you might need (for those with mobility issues there will be some tables and chairs available). The marquees will offer some shelter and portaloos will be in place.

Although rules have now changed with regards to restrictions on gatherings we kindly ask if you could please take a rapid antigen (Lateral Flow) COVID test before the event  to keep everyone safe, these are done at home and are available for free from the Pharmacy or can be ordered online -

Event Schedule (please note that these times are not set in stone)

2.00pm - Kick Off, mingle and set yourselves up for the day.

2.45pm -A Hearty Welcome and Intro to the day followed by games for the young and young at heart.

4.45pm - Surprise Visitor! Who can it be?

5.00pm -Missed events Village Sing along, performances and announcements.

5.45pm - Fab Big Hug Raffle Draw!, Big thanks to all our amazingly generous donors

6.10pm - Break with background music, a chance to mingle or pop back home for a quick rest

7.00pm - Live music performances

8.00pm - DJ and dancing

This is a free of charge event for villagers. Villagers are a priority at this event, so please do not invite friends and family from near and far to attend, we hope you understand, we are trying to keep everyone safe. 

**The ladies at Nutritious and Delicious, (Golf Club), have offered to supply picnic boxes for the Festive picnic at Saturday’s Big Hug.

Choose from the following -

1. Picnic box - £6
Sandwich or sausage roll,
Cake or tray bake,
Packet of crisps,
Piece of fruit,
Bottle of water.

Add or select any of the following -

2. Cheese platter £6
A variety of cheeses,
A selection of crackers,
Chutney,
Fruit.

3. Antipasti platter - £7
Selection of continental meats,
Olives,
Hummus,
Sun dried tomatoes,
Mozzarella balls,
Baguette.
