I have some news! Chris’s Gigs is venturing out into the world again so we have organised a couple of exciting concerts in Comrie for your entertainment.

They will take place in the Comrie Rural Hall and we are limiting numbers to 50. Tickets will be available online at Eventbrite and in Hansen's Kitchen. The links for tickets are below. If you can, please do buy online (booking fees apply - sorry!).

We ask that all attendees take a lateral flow test the day of the gig. We also ask that masks are worn on entry to the hall and if moving around.  They don't need to be worn through the concert.

Some of you may remember that Ross and Tim were scheduled to play in Comrie in May 2020 but because of lockdown the gig was cancelled. So they recorded a concert especially for us which we put out online in June 2020 and you can still see that on the Chris’s Gigs youtube channel here. There is nothing like the electricity of a live performance though and we are truly delighted to be able to finally welcome them to the village in what will be a powerhouse of a gig.

These award-winning multi instrumental musical geniuses are old friends and are two of the best musicians of their generation.

Tim is a former BBC Musician of the year (BBC Folk Awards 2012) and he also won best duo with Brendan Power the same year.  He is The Chieftain’s guitarist & accordionist of choice and also has a long standing solo career.  He is rated by many to be one of the world's best guitarists and melodeon players in the Celtic folk scene and he has recorded & toured with everyone from Christy Moore to Altan & Natalie MacMaster.

Ross is a 3 times nominated Musician of the year at the BBC Folk Awards in 2013, 2016, 2018 and he also won best duo with Ali Hutton in 2017. He won Composer of the Year in 2015 at the Scots Trad Music Awards. He performs with many bands including Treacherous Orchestra, Salsa Celtica, Dougie Maclean and lots more. Ross has 4 solo albums to date - Wide Open in 2013; Remembering in 2015; Sanctuary in 2017; and Vana in 2020.
