Mighty Hike

Are you looking for a challenge in 2020? 

A great opportunity has arisen to walk 26 miles of the Rob Roy Way as part of the Mighty Hike raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, this walk takes place on Saturday 29th August.

This is a mostly flat walk from Callander to Killin that includes a visit to Rob Roy's grave en-route.

As a Mighty Hiker you'll experience and receive a free Macmillan walking top, a clearly marked route, regular refuelling stops with snacks and drinks, access to medical assistance en-route (hopefully this won't be needed), a free buffet lunch and hot food at the finish together with a finisher's medal and bubbly!

Whilst we completely understand that this walk will not be for everyone, we'd like to invite those who would like to take part as a St Fillans Walkie Talkie team to register with us in early February. 

The cost of registration is £25 with a commitment to raising the equivalent of £250 per team member for this incredibly worthy cause. If you're interested in joining our team please RSVP to [email protected] by Friday 7th February. After our registration fee is paid, we plan on setting up a WhatsApp group or email distribution list advertising regular team training walks etc.

Please don't worry if you are unable to commit to this challenge, there will be many opportunities to support the fund-raising efforts or help with transport on the day. 

Our regular monthly Walkie Talkie walks will continue as normal, February's will be the Circular Walk in Comrie, more details to follow soon.
