Great Loch Earn Boat Race

The 2015 Great Loch Earn Boat Race is set to take place on Sunday 19th April. Despite the disappointment of last year's event having to be cancelled due to stormy weather, the organisers, Crieff Round Table, hope to continue the success of the annual event, which in 2013 raised over £5000 in sponsorship and entrance fees, all of which was donated to good causes.

All available boats (kindly provided by Drummond Fisheries) will be crewed by enthusiastic teams of four set to battle it out over the seven mile course starting at the beach close to the Lochearnhead Watersports Centre at around midday. Spectators are welcome to cheer on the boats at the start and on completion of the race at the Achray House Hotel, St Fillans where entrants will be treated to a warming meal and the winning teams will be presented with their prizes.
