Crieff Choral Group present: ‘SONGS FROM THE HILLS’

Crieff Choral Group are delighted to be presenting their winter concert in person at Strathearn Arts in Crieff at 7.30 on Saturday 20th November.
Led by their new conductor, Ulrike Wutscher, the evening is entitled ‘Songs from the Hills’ chosen to reflect Ulrike’s roots in Austria and her new home in Scotland. It is a wide-ranging programme including songs from classical, romantic and contemporary composers.
The tenor David Douglas will be joining the choir as guest soloist.
The choir will be giving the first performance of ‘The Gean Trees’, created by Syd House MBE and Dr Nicola Small of PlaidSong and adapted for Crieff Choral Group by Perthshire composer, Helen MacKinnon.
By the time of this performance, Crieff Choral Group will have planted a Gean Tree in MacRosty Park, kindly sponsored by RTS Forestry, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
