Walk Around Aberuchill Estate
Our next walk is planned for Saturday 20th April, leaving the lay-by at the Earthquake House over the Ross Bridge, Comrie at 2pm. If you require transport please let me know at [email protected]
Dogs are very welcome to join us on this walk but must be kept on leads.
Our planned route is approximately 4.5 miles in length and the walk will mainly utilise land rover tracks with one section heading up a slight incline through an open field, (the view from the top looking back over the estate and towards Dunira is lovely). The final section of our walk will bring us back along the minor road which runs from The Ross out to Dalchonzie, we can stop for a look at the Earthquake House before returning to our cars.
I have had agreement from the Estate to take our group into the walled garden where we plan to stop and enjoy a snack, the slabs within the garden can be a bit slippy after rain.
If 4.2 miles sounds too long for you to walk, there are various opt out points to enable a shorter walk.
I'm hopeful that if the ospreys return to their normal nesting site we should get a good view of them from this route so, if you have them, please remember to pack your binoculars along with a snack.
As always, taking part in our walks is entirely at your own risk.
Hope to see you there,
Ruth
