Using Your Ears - Bat Detector Training

Using Your Ears - Bat Detector Training
Using Your Ears - Bat Detector TrainingJul 6th | Foxknowe Office

This is a free training event offered to local residents and bat group members who may be willing to put their new found bat detecting skills to good use by taking part in a Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) National Bat Monitoring Programme (NBMP) survey. Please note, this is not a condition of attendance - even if you only have a passing interest in bats you will get something out of this event.

The indoor session will start at 7.30pm so please aim to arrive a little earlier to get sorted. The indoor session should last for approximately 1 hour. We will have a break for drinks and nibbles (please bring a contribution to this) after which we will venture out for a practical session to test our knowledge and skills whilst watching the bats out foraging and possibly emerging from the office and house.

Venue: Office at Foxknowe

Please note, if there is interest from other local bat groups and residents of nearby villages, you are more than welcome to come along too but please book.

Please email Andrea at [email protected] for more information or to book your place, alternatively just show your intention to come along by clicking on the 'going' button on this event.

As there is no charge, a BCT collection box will be provided for voluntary donations.
