St Fillans Ladies' Lunch Club

The Lunch club will again be held in the Sandison Hall over this Autumn and Winter  -  sharing food, getting to know each other and having some fun.

The Lunch Club has run for over 22 years and been enjoyed by many. The price for lunch, cooked by volunteer members, has been kept at only £5 per 2 course meal with coffee.

Last year, we dispensed with the formality of a speaker, and created our own ‘in house’ entertainment. This proved very successful  and so will be repeated. Participation in activities is optional but it is usually a bit of a giggle!

By joining, you will become part of a team for one of the lunches. The teams duties are to decide and prepare a simple lunch, serve and tidy up afterwards. Last year there was  always  plenty of help from the other ladies so not an onerous task. You are welcome to come along and have lunch and a chat.

To encourage as many as possible to take part, our first meeting on Wednesday 11th October (12 for 12:30) is an open invitation to all women to come along and have a glass of wine or a soft drink, enjoy lunch, meet fellow villagers for a chat and generally relax for a couple of hours. Hopefully, this will entice you into becoming a member of the Lunch Club.

Lunches are held on the second Wednesday of each month from October to March with a separate Christmas Lunch in December.

Why not give it a try?  £5 for a 2 course lunch in convivial surroundings, is a real bargain.
