BBC Countryfile RambleOct 6th | Village Information Point by the pedestrian footbridge

Dear All,

You may have seen on Countryfile the article about the Countryfile Ramble, which is run each year to raise funds for Children in Need.

We have decided that it would be nice to do the yellow walk in St Fillans. I know that many of you have done this walk before but we thought it a nice circular walk with lovely views of the Loch including a pleasant stopping point for a snack and drink. There are often sightings of golden eagles on this walk as well as other wildlife so if you have a set of binoculars it would be great if you could bring them with you, I'm hoping that we'll hear some rutting stags too.

If you would like more details of the walk they can be found here http://www.stfillanscc.org.uk/things-to-do/ under - St Fillans walks - Old Village Ruins - Morrell and Click "READ MORE".

Children are more than welcome to come along too, I think the youngest child we've done the walk with was aged 6. There is a particular area of the walk that has similarities to the wood in the story The Gruffalo!

I suggest meeting at the village information point by the pedestrian footbridge at 1.30pm.

Please bring along a drink and snack for yourself.

Here is a link to the fundraising page I've set up for the village https://countryfile-ramble-for-bbc-children-in-need-2018.everydayhero.com/uk/ruth-6
